روز چهارشنبه نهم سپتامبر، الیزابت دوم، ملکه بریتانیا از نظر طول دوره زمامداری از ملکه ویکتوریا پیشی گرفت و طولانی‌ترین دوره سلطنت را در بریتانیا از آن خود کرد.
ایران خبر- ملکه ویکتوریا ۶۳ سال و هفت ماه و دو روز سلطنت کرد. در سال ۱۹۵۲ وقتی که الیزابت به سلطنت رسید، استالین رهبر شوروی سابق بود و ترومن رئیس‌جمهور آمریکا. بی بی سی جهانی٬ با ۶۳ عکس٬ ۶۳ سال سلطنت الیزابت دوم را مرور کرده است:
